ABOUT Us
The EMS Division serves as the medical branch of the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department. Our volunteers include ~ 65 EMT and Paramedic volunteers that serve the City of Moscow community, and provide ALS coverage in Latah County. We respond to over 3000 emergency calls a year.
Any questions can be answered by contacting info@moscowvolunteerfire.org or 208-883-7163.
This course is typically offered Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00pm to 10:00pm and the occasional Saturday class. The Fall class typically runs early September to early December.
Due to high demand for this EMT class, the application process can be very competitive. Only serious applicants should apply. The EMT course is time intensive, with significant out-of-class study, and an additional requirement of clinical participation.
Preference for the course is given to individuals who live or work in Moscow and are interested in joining our dedicated team of EMS volunteers.
There are attendance requirements and academic standards that must be met to complete this course. There is no guarantee that you will either pass the class or be accepted as an EMT for the Moscow Volunteer Fire Department.
